Weeks 43 and 44

This has been a marathon week for my lil honey. Just this past Wednesday, she decided she would start to walk by herself and crawl! Both in one day!

There's something in the water at Nana's house, I swear. She learns a lot of her tricks there, like sleeping on her belly, for instance. I couldn't really capture very much of her walking on video, because by the time I had let go of her, grabbed and aimed the camera, and started to record, she was sitting herself down again on the floor. I did catch, however, some of her crawling.

She is also:

Meowing back at the cats when they meow. It sounds more like a screech though.
Trying to say "cat" which sounds like "kit"
Saying mama constantly (Finally!).. she also says Dada appropriately.
Jabbering- its less of the repeated syllables, and more sounding like actual words. I swear she said, "all done" when I was finishing up washing her face the other day.
prefering grown-up food of any kind. She can decimate a pile of blueberries or grapes, but is really loving pasta with meat sauce, bread with butter, bits of waffles, grilled cheese. She's got a much more sophisticated palate than I would have thought at this age.
Cruising and an extremely rapid speed
getting into the cat food and cat's water dish at any opportunity
Standing for short times playing with toys without holding on
Using a pushtoy to get to things that she cannot cruise to
Using both her arms to play the maracas while dancing to her Sesame Street Fiesta DVD (god bless that DVD).
sleeping through the nights most nights and falling asleep easily by herself now. I love it!
